Out of the eleven pregnant ladies I knew this year, this was the only shower I got to put on for someone. It was fun hitting the party supply store to gather cute baby things, like the banner and table centerpiece, and ordering the cupcakes (from our favorite baker, Marilyn at Piece of Cake), and prepping for the luncheon. Who knew even a low-key shower would be so much work. Keeping Mabel from eating the ribbons on the presents was a particular challenge.
