Sara hosted the Resident Alien’s baby shower at her house in Wilsonville. The guests included our hostess Sara, Tan, Ann, Trina, Jen, and Anya, and three folks (Tiffany - who is also expecting a baby later this year, Sharon - who is on vacation, and Jessica - who is trapped in downtown Canada - I’ll explain later) sent presents even though they could not attend. We gabbed a lot, as women are wont to do, nibbled on some tasty snacks (including some very good brie - mmmmm, brie...), opened up gifts, and ate some fabulous Chantilly cake from our favorite bakery, Piece of Cake. Topics ranged from a particular type of massage (one that supposedly helps during delivery) to school (Trina just took the MCAT for med school, Ann just got her degree and is anticipating starting work on her Master’s, Anya will hopefully finish her dissertation within the next year, and I will be starting law school next fall) to work and everything in between.
