If you ever make it to Vienna, going to the opera is a must. Neither Darr nor myself are really big opera buffs but after touring the Vienna State Opera and hearing there were standing-room-only tickets for super cheap, we returned later that evening figuring we’d watch a few minutes and duck out. We stayed for the entire opera. It was fantastic. Oh, and go to Demel’s for apfelstrudel. It is amazingly tasty and good and full of apples. Yum. To recap, the two things you absolutely cannot miss in Vienna - opera and apfelstrudel.
